Vincent Power specialises in EU and Irish competition, and transport law. He is Head of A&L Goodbody's EU & Competition Unit which has been consistently ranked at the forefront of Irish law firms for over a decade. In 2004 the Unit was involved in 40% of the mergers before the Irish Competition Authority.

He has been involved in most of the significant competition and State aid cases in Ireland including the major take-overs, investigations, court cases and studies. He advises both national and multinational clients as well as public and private bodies. He regularly advises clients in sectors as diverse as aviation, banking, computers, drinks, food, insurance, professional services and shipping.
