Bank of America Merrill Lynch Canada Hires Head of Equity Capital Markets

TORONTO--()--Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BofA Merrill) today announced that Tim Johnston will be joining the firm as head of Equity Capital Markets (ECM) for Canada.

Johnston joins from RBC Capital Markets, where he worked for the past 20 years in Toronto and New York in senior ECM and investment banking positions.

Johnston will report to regional management in Toronto as well as to Frank Maturo and Peter Chapman, New York-based co-heads of Americas ECM.

In his new role, Johnston will be responsible for the delivery of equity capital markets products to the firm’s corporate client base. He will work across industry groups and with ECM team members globally to drive BofA Merrill’s position in the new issue markets in Canada.
