Wyse Showcases Cisco Alliance with Latest Cloud Client Computing Solutions to Deliver Superior End-User Experience, Flexibility, Security and Ease of Management

SAN JOSE, Calif. & LONDON--()--Wyse Technology, the global leader in cloud client computing, is participating in Cisco Live Europe 2011, which is Cisco’s flagship annual technical training, networking and educational event in Europe. The event runs from January 31st to February 3rd 2011 at the Excel Centre, London UK. Cisco Live offers visitors the opportunity to experience how Wyse’s broad solutions portfolio maximizes the benefits of Cisco’s end-to-end Virtualization Experience Infrastructure (VXI) system. Wyse is demonstrating its solutions in Booth G14.

At Cisco Live, Wyse is showing how its cloud, virtualisation and management software suites work with Cisco VXI to deliver any type of content to any user on any form of end-user device, including Wyse Cloud Client Computing solutions that support thin and zero client desktops, laptops or handheld devices and tablets.

All of the Cisco VXI validated Wyse solutions are demonstrated working with the VXI architecture and either VMware View or Citrix XenDesktop, as well as enabling mobile cloud computing on Wyse mobile clients and tablets including the Cisco Cius and Apple iPad utilising the popular Wyse PocketCloud application.

Wyse also will be using the event to introduce new products that further expand the broad range of cloud client solutions fully tested and proven to optimize the benefits of Cisco VXI for customers.

Wyse clients already see the value of closer integration between Wyse desktop virtualisation and Cisco unified communications. Joel King, Infrastructure Architect, Corporate Infrastructure Services at Standard Bank said: “In our new London HQ we did our own integration between our Cisco telephony and the Wyse virtual desktop infrastructure. So, how Wyse and Cisco are going to integrate their technologies looks very interesting to us as we continue to evolve our unified communications and VDI.”

Dave Wesolik, Branch Manager, IT Shared Services at Los Angeles County Internal Services Department agreed: “We have converted over 4,300 of our desktops to virtual thin clients using the Wyse devices with Cisco UCS and VMware. Our goal is to keep moving towards 13,000 so that staff can take advantage of the mobility and flexibility of this solution.”

David Angwin, Director of Marketing EMEA, Wyse Technology will be speaking in the Gold theatre on Thursday 3rd February from 13.40 to 14.10 on “Making the right client decisions for desktop virtualization with Cisco VXI.”
