HOUMA, La.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Chet Morrison Well Services, a subsidiary of Morrison Energy Group, is announcing its decision to exit the HWO/Snubbing services market in order to strategically focus its resources on providing plugging and abandoning of wells and facilities. The Company performs platform decommissioning, pipeline abandonment, and structural removals for its clients. Relying on the resources of Chet Morrison Contractors, the Company can approach decommissioning packages with attractive solutions.
The Company’s HWO/Snubbing units will be divested and the proceeds will be redirected into additional state-of-the-art equipment enhancing the Company’s P&A in-house capabilities.
As stated by Bobby Lott, Vice President of Chet Morrison Well Services, “Concentrating on safely executing plugging and abandonment (P&A) work is our commitment to our clients. This strategy dictates that all resources within this group are allocated to this objective. We have assembled a veteran team and are continuing to add necessary equipment enabling us to completely remove all well associated pipe and casing to required depths with in-house equipment and personnel.”

The two late-model 340k HWO/Snubbing units (one truck mounted and one skid mounted) are ready stacked at company headquarters in Houma, LA. Both units are fully functional and available for viewing by appointment.
