Mincom Pledges A$200,000 to Queensland Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal Fund

BRISBANE, Australia--()--Mincom, the leading global provider of software and services to asset-intensive industries, today pledged A$200,000 to the Queensland Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal Fund to assist those communities devastated by the recent floods in Queensland, Australia. In addition to its cash pledge, Mincom has also extended three paid volunteer days to its Queensland-based employees to assist recovery and rebuilding efforts.

“Queensland now faces an enormous recovery effort following the unprecedented devastation caused by the flooding disaster. While we know that most of our employees have been fortunate, others have suffered immensely,” said Greg Clark, Mincom CEO. “Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by this tragedy as we move forward towards recovery across the affected areas.”

The company’s Brisbane offices were undamaged. The Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal Fund was established to help those affected by widespread flooding in Queensland. Representing Queensland's worst disaster in recorded history, the floods resulted in 75 percent of the state being declared a disaster zone.
