About Gossip Girl

High society and low blows are in style with Gossip Girl, a one-hour drama about the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite. Based on the best-selling series of young-adult novels by Cecily von Ziegesar, the drama is fueled by an all-knowing blogger — Gossip Girl — who, via constant, avidly read text messages and online updates, is determined to uncover and share every scandal possible on Manhattan's Upper East Side. And in this world, where gossip rules and affluent young people find themselves with the money, access and appetite to explore all the temptations New York City has to offer, you can be sure that romance, scheming and secrets can't be far behind. Keeping track of the shifting friendships, jealousies and turmoil in this wealthy and complex world isn't easy; that's why there's Gossip Girl.

Starring Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Taylor Momsen, Ed Westwick, Jessica Szohr, with Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle, Gossip Girl was developed for television by Josh Schwartz & Stephanie Savage, who also serve as executive producers of the series with Leslie Morgenstein, Bob Levy and Joshua Safran.
