2011 Technology Convergence Conference

FREMONT, Calif.--()--TELADATA, a leading consulting firm specializing in IT infrastructure design, planning and project management, today announced that its 2011 Technology Convergence Conference will feature a panel discussion, titled East Meets West, on data center efficiency.

During the discussion, panel members from East Coast financial firms and West Cost Technology companies will engage in spirited discussion of their companies’ respective methodologies for maximizing the efficiency of legacy and newly designed data centers.

The panel will be moderated by Derek Schwartz of the Green Data Center Alliance and will feature participants from some of the top technology and financial services firms, including Doug Alger, IT Architect at Cisco Systems, William Udall, Vice President of Energy Efficiency in Data Centers at JP Morgan Chase, and David Shroyer, Controls Engineer at NetApp.

“We hope to show attendees how these firms are using both different and similar methods to create an efficient data center ecosystem,” said Derek Schwartz, Executive Director and Founder of the Green Data Center Alliance, a leading data center efficiency think-tank. “Our goal is to have participants walk away with an efficiency blueprint that they can implement whether they are retrofitting a legacy data center or building a new state-of-the-art LEED-certified data center.”

The conference will be held February 23, 2011 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Registration is currently open and there is still an opportunity to take advantage of “early bird” pricing.

“We are delighted to be able to assemble these diverse companies to discuss ‘in the trenches’ efficiency techniques for both IT equipment and supporting infrastructure,” said Maricel Cerruti, Director of Marketing and Business Development for TELADATA.

TELADATA’s Technology Convergence Conference focuses on providing an environment where IT, facilities, telecommunications and other technology professionals can assemble to exchange ideas and best practices relating to the latest technologies in data centers, telecommunications, building management systems and security. Expert speakers and resources offer delegates critical information and in-the-trenches tactics to address key issues affecting their facilities today.
