Office Ally Announces Record-Setting Performance in 2010

New Products and Increased User Participation Further Positions Company as the Healthcare Industry’s Leading Provider of Revenue Cycle Management Services

VANCOUVER, Wash.--()--Office Ally announced today that the company achieved record-setting performance in 2010 based on new product launches, number of users now engaged, and certifications received.

Office Ally is the only organization in the country offering healthcare providers a full complement of revenue-cycle management services, including a patient portal, electronic health records, a practice-management system, a clearinghouse and a billing service. As a result, in 2010 the company saw a 36 percent increase in the number of users of its services nationwide, with more than 340,000 providers now relying on one or more of the company’s products to increase efficiencies and profitability.

“The tremendous reception we’ve received in the market, we believe, is a combination of offering products that work easily and reliably at a price point physicians can comfortably afford,” said Brian O’Neill, president and CEO. All of the programs provided by Office Ally are offered to providers for minimal fee or no charge. In fact, providers who participate in the company’s billing service receive for free Office Ally’s electronic health record and practice management system – which includes ePrescribing, eligibility-checking and patient-reminder tools.

In the area of new product introductions, in 2010 Office Ally launched three new services that are already making a major impact around the country. In May the company started processing workers’ compensation claims; and in July the company introduced Reminder Mate, a Practice Mate™ add-on service that makes automated phone calls to remind patients of upcoming scheduled appointments. In September Office Ally announced the introduction of a new revenue cycle management service for providers, making it easier for physicians, hospitals and clinics to receive prompt and accurate reimbursement from insurance companies and patients. For providers previously doing billing in house, the new billing service offered by Office Ally is expected to recognize increases in revenues of 10-20 percent.

One of the most noteworthy achievements in 2010 was the announcement in November that Office Ally’s electronic health records (EHR 24/7, v. 3.6.0) product was certified to help providers achieve meaningful use requirements and thus qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This certification came on the heels of major enhancements made to EHR 24/7 throughout the year.

Other 2010 achievements noted by O’Neill include: the entering into an exclusive agreement with Blue Shield of California for its provider network to utilize Office Ally for member e-visits, the attainment of CORE certification for real-time transactions, and the re-engineering of the company’s website so as to make it easier and more user friendly for visitors to find the information they need.

Founded in 2000, Office Ally currently works with more than 300,000 providers and 4,400 insurance carriers in all 50 states. It also houses eligibility for nearly 400 IPAs and small health plans. Its complete suite of interactive asp, Internet-based solutions include a patient health registry – Patient Ally™, electronic health records – EHR 24/7™, practice management – Practice Mate™, clearinghouse, and case management – Case Mate™. All of Office Ally’s products and services are offered at minimal or no cost to providers, with training and technical support available 24/7.
