LONG BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Molina Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE:MOH) announced today that Norman Nichols has been named president of its Medicaid health information management subsidiary, Molina Medicaid Solutions (MMS). He succeeds Terry P. Bayer, who had been serving as interim president of MMS since its acquisition by Molina Healthcare in May 2010. Bayer will now return full time to her primary role as chief operating officer of Molina Healthcare, Inc.
Nichols, who most recently served as executive account manager for MMS operations in Louisiana, will now manage all of the day-to-day fiscal agent and business process outsourcing activities of MMS, as well as lead its strategic planning and business development efforts. Currently, MMS provides business processing and information technology administrative services to Medicaid agencies in Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, New Jersey, and West Virginia, and drug rebate administration services in Florida.

Nichols has over 35 years of experience in the health care field and has served as the executive account manager for MMS’s operations in Louisiana for the past 15 years. Before joining MMS, he held several key executive positions, including deputy executive account manager for Insta-Care Pharmacy Services and vice president and regional executive director for Jack Eckerd Corporation. Nichols received his B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Northeast Louisiana University.
