REGENESIS welcomes Matthias Sumann to its European team

BATH, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--REGENESIS is pleased to announce the hire of Matthias Sumann as Central District Manager in the REGENESIS European team. Mr. Sumann is well known to many in the European environmental sector, and joins REGENESIS from Tauw Group, where he has variously worked in the Netherlands, Italy and Germany as a Technical Expert in Remediation Technologies and Senior Project Manager. Within REGENESIS, Mr. Sumann will provide technical support and application advice for the existing REGENESIS product line and assistance in the market introduction of new in-situ remediation products currently being developed by REGENESIS.

Mr. Sumann graduated in Geoökologe (geo-ecology) from the University of Bayreuth in 1997, having worked in research in Germany, the UK and the USA, and subsequently worked as a Technical Consultant and Researcher in Germany before joining Tauw in 1999 within the soil and groundwater group in their head offices in Deventer, NL. He later relocated to Milan for several years within the same company, supporting projects on large Italian industrial sites before returning to Germany in 2007. Within Tauw, Mr. Sumann has managed innovative investigation and clean-up projects for both large and small industrial clients and has also led knowledge development projects and international co-operations within TAUW, representing the company in international fora such as NICOLE. He has designed and conducted treatability studies, field pilots and full-scale implementations of ISCO agents, DNAPL treatments, thermal and biological remediation technologies and also conventional in-situ extractive technologies such as air-sparging, pump-and-treat, soil-vapour extraction etc.

Within REGENESIS, Mr. Sumann complements a strong EU team in the UK, Ireland, Belgium and Italy, providing free technical assistance and advice on appropriate and efficient use of REGENESIS products in specific site and project contexts. The support also includes project design and costing both of stand-alone applications and usage integrated with other clean-up technologies to increase efficiency and reduce overall costs and clean-up time.
