PETALUMA, Calif.--()--HydroPoint Data Systems Inc., provider of the WeatherTRAK® Smart Water Management solution, today announced the next webinar in its Sustainability 360° Educational Series. HydroPoint’s ongoing series is designed to spur adoption of green technologies and practices that are both environmentally and financially viable.

Hosted by Retail Traffic Editor-in-Chief David Bodamer, the live, one-hour webinar will explore effective strategies for selecting Smart Water Management programs that stand up to real-world applications and deliver projected cost and resource savings. Mark Peternell, vice president of sustainability for Regency Centers, will relate his company’s experiences with outdoor water efficiency. Mr. Peternell will describe his search for proven solutions, the implementation of new technologies and practices, and results achieved, sharing key lessons learned along the way.

To date, Regency Centers has implemented HydroPoint’s WeatherTRAK Smart Water Management solution at 90 shopping centers. The WeatherTRAK systems provide Regency with visibility and control over landscape irrigation, eliminating water waste and reducing operating expenses.

"The success of our Smart Water Management program is determined by its ability to substantively reduce our water consumption without compromising Regency’s high quality standards for landscapes,” said Mr. Peternell. He added, “The WeatherTRAK systems provide an immediate cost savings and a low initial cost, resulting in a quick payback period of one to three years.”

“Organizations increasingly hold green programs to the same standards that they’d apply to any enterprise-wide initiative,” said HydroPoint Vice President of Marketing Sharon Thompson. “Regency Centers’ fiscally sound approach to sustainability serves as an example for the retail industry,” she continued.

Retail industry professionals responsible for managing financial performance or driving sustainability initiatives will come away from this webinar equipped to:
