James Avery Expands in Southeastern United States with Several New Locations

Texas-based jeweler plans growth in southeastern United States

KERRVILLE, Texas--()--James Avery, a family-owned jewelry retailer, announces they will open their 60th store in Little Rock, Arkansas at Midtowne Little Rock, a premier shopping destination in February 2011. This location will add to the growing presence of James Avery in the southeastern United States, where the retailer has targeted expansion in recent years.

James Avery is best known for its designs that express connection and meaning, including faith-inspired jewelry for men and women of all ages. They also feature a wide offering of designs in their “casual, artistic line”. Their corporate mission is “to share life, love and faith through the beauty of design.”

Founded in Texas in 1954, James Avery has grown slowly but steadily with locations primarily throughout the state. A few stores have opened outside of Texas over the past two decades, primarily in Georgia and Oklahoma. However, the last several years have brought considerable expansion into the southeast with the opening of locations in Shreveport and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Franklin and Germantown, Tennessee, Birmingham, Alabama, and an additional Atlanta, Georgia area location.

“We very much look forward to opening additional stores in other cities and states throughout the southeastern US over the next several years and being able to share our product and story with new customers, as well as being able to serve many of our existing, loyal customers who live in these areas,“ says Chris Avery, President and CEO of the company.

James Avery’s potential success in the southeastern United States has the company looking at further expansion opportunities, with several cities being evaluated as possible new sites in late 2011 and 2012. The company’s conservative retail store growth strategy involves opening an average of five to eight new stores annually over the next four to five years.

In addition to its focus on the southeastern U.S. for retail store locations in the near term, James Avery is also proud to continue to offer its quality jewelry line to consumers all across the country via its internet site at www.jamesavery.com.
