Live From Vermont it’s SNL Batches!
Ben & Jerry’s® Launches Exclusive Scoop Shop Only Flavors Inspired by Saturday Night Live Sketches
BURLINGTON, Vt.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Think of a television show that has aired for almost 40 years. Now, narrow it down by considering those shows that feature ground-breaking comedy, push the boundaries of irreverence and serve as a cutting commentary on our social fabric. Ben & Jerry’s proudly partners for another go ‘round with the iconic show that has influenced television, movies and made its mark on pop culture, the one and only Saturday Night Live!
“The last time we partnered with SNL, the flavor caused quite a stir”
Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops across the US and Canada will unveil not one, but TWO exclusive flavors, based on sketches from SNL this June. The company has also hinted at more flavors to come over the next year to celebrate SNL’s official 40th anniversary. You don’t need to be a legendary SNL writer to guess which sketches have good ice cream names, and we’ll give you this head start: it’s not “Coneheads,” “Chocolate Chippendales,” or “More Cowbell” related.
“The last time we partnered with SNL, the flavor caused quite a stir,” said Eric Fredette, Ben & Jerry’s Flavor Guru who worked on the latest innovation, adding: “I think true SNL fans are going to love how we took the inspiration for what’s next. Saturday nights are about to get a little cooler.”
