G-STAR 2013 has arranged for various attractions and lectures for visitors and game developers. During the festival, there will be 3 e-sports contests, including “World of Tanks Korea vs. Japan” organized by WarGaming, “Nexon Invitational Super Match” by Nexon, and “League of Legend Champions Winter Opening Game” by Riot Games. At the G-STAR Conference which is being held for the first time this year, there will be keynote presentations by Google’s engineering director Chris Yerga on “Mobile Business Success Strategy through Google Play”, and by Oculus VR’s CEO Brendan Iribe on “The Future of Rift”. In addition, there will be presentations on 36 topics arranged by celebrated domestic/overseas game businesses and game development professionals.

There will be further expansion of the G-STAR investment market, which began last year. At the G-STAR investment market which opened at the end of last October in Seoul, there was a heated game pitching preliminary round participated by 14 game investors and 23 game distributors, targeting on the game projects of start-up and small- and medium-scale game development companies. For the games of the 26 companies that passed the Seoul preliminary round, consulting events on game investment and publishing will be offered to 24 investors and distributors in the areas of proto-type/seed investment < 11 teams > and preliminary launching/series A investment < 15 teams >
