RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Quintiles announced today that it has been recognized as one of the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces by the Great Place to Work® Institute, finishing 23rd on the list. The ranking is the world’s largest annual study of workplace excellence and identifies the top-25 best multinationals in terms of workplace culture. This is Quintiles’ second appearance on the list.
“As a healthcare business services company, employee engagement is an imperative,” said Quintiles’ Chief Executive Officer Tom Pike. “We have found a very clear correlation between employee engagement and customer loyalty, satisfaction and quality. This recognition is not only an honor, it is proof of our competitive differentiation.”
“It’s important to understand that the work we do every day helps to improve patient health around the globe,” Pike continued. “This commitment to a healthier world is what drives most of our employees to this industry. Our ability to live up to this promise is what motivates them to stay and help our customers succeed.”
Quintiles plans to celebrate its Best Multinational Workplace designation by honoring its commitment to patients through a virtual celebration on its Facebook page. Employees and the public are invited to participate, and children around the world will benefit as Quintiles makes a donation to the Global Fund for Children for each employee and guest post. This donation will be earmarked for health-based initiatives among some of the world’s neediest communities.
Quintiles’ virtual celebration coincides with its existing community service program, called QDay —recognized by the Great Place to Work® Institute multinational workplace award last year. During this time of year, Quintiles employees are also invited to take a full day to volunteer within their communities and share their experiences with other Quintiles employees.
Since launching the first best workplaces lists in partnership with FORTUNE magazine in the United States and Exame in Brazil in 1997, Great Place to Work® now recognizes leading workplaces in some 45 countries. The World’s Best Multinational Workplace list is based upon a pool of data from some 1,800 companies that were listed on Great Place to Work® country best companies list. Each year, the Great
Place to Work® Institute analyzes data from surveys taken by more than 2.5 million employees and workplace culture analytics taken from 5,671 companies representing more than 11 million employees.
“The companies listed on the second-annual World’s Best Multinational Workplaces List are creating workplaces dedicated to fostering trust, pride and camaraderie amongst their employees,” said Susan Lucas-Conwell, Global CEO of Great Place to Work®. “Their inclusion on this prestigious list demonstrates their commitment to continually improving the lives of their employees and setting innovative new standards for workplaces of the future.”
Founded in 1982, Quintiles has been celebrating its 30th anniversary throughout 2012.
